I created a CD for myself that included nothing but music from and about Florida. It is great road music to take you from Tampa to the panhandle and back down to Miami and then Key West.
Whoever heard of Brandon Strickland? I hadn't, but take a listen to some exceptional Sopchoppy blues. You have probably never heard of most of these artists except for Bertie Higgins, but that is the beauty of these tracks. It is original music that you won't hear on Idol, or commercial radio, or see on the Billboard charts. Bottom line: this isn't the commercial crap that is crammed down our throats by the mainstream.
When you click on the Amazon icon you will see and hear my picks in the order I burned them on my CD. Sometimes I even amaze myself. You can take the deejay out of the boy, but you can't take the boy out of the deejay, or some such nonsense.
