Why Do Republicans Hate Women?

I would really like to know the answer to that question.

We have a few gay friends - they don't hate women. They are not particularly attracted to them, but they don't hate them, so what is it with the Republicans?

Over the weekend, House Weeper Boehner doubled down on his commitment to undoing Obama's decision to require insurance companies to cover birth control - now he wants any employer to be able to deny any preventive care at all, including mammograms. Calls are flooding into Congress from right-wing opponents of birth control to support Boehner's position.

Do these people not understand that they are advocating a very powerful method of birth control, to wit: if you never get laid again, then you aren't getting anyone pregnant. I can assure you that if I were a woman I sure as hell wouldn't be putting out to any of these misogynist sons-of-bitches.

Boehner still made the Republican position clear: More than any other issue facing Congress, Republican leaders are committed to making women's lives harder.

There are some encouraging signs from members of both parties in Congress. Last week pro-choice Republicans began to challenge their leadership's attacks on the mandate. And just this week Republican Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins publicly endorsed Obama's decision. (Editor's update 2/16/12 - Snowe and Collins reportedly are now waffling on this endorsement)

But the right-wing attacks are not stopping. On Monday, Congressman Jeff Miller (R-a Florida douche bag) even went so far as to suggest that Obama's birth control decision could cause veterans to become homeless.

I will have to ruminate on that one for awhile since I am a veteran.

Well, all right, I have ruminated. Miller is a douche bag and should not mix Vicodin and Wild Turkey. I could think of nothing that would link birth control and me becoming homeless beyond the delusional ramblings of a f**king idiot.

Moving on.

And on Sunday, a Reverend in San Francisco compared the church's opposition to Obama's rule their "Rosa Parks moment," while vowing to keep up the fight against it. There is another comparison that eludes me. Is Obama making those self-righteous servants of God sit in the back of the bus? Now that's not right, I don't care who you are.

I am going to contact Obama and tell him that these bastards should be able to plop their sorry asses where ever they choose. And that, dear readers, is my Rosa Parks moment.

  1. Like your post. I can't quite believe the Republican assault on women. A Canadian Facebook friend doesn't think Republicans hate women, but it sure looks like they do. All I can say is that no Republican ever thanked me for working 2-3 jobs, or not having any kids I couldn't afford. And believe me, I'm better off alone than marrying any of the losers that I've dated in my life.

  2. Well Gloria, if Republicans don't hate women, they certainly have no respect for them. The mentality seems to be to keep women subservient to men - as in chattel.

What the wives and/or girl friends of these misogynist clowns find appealing is a mystery to me.

    Thank you for your comment.
