This once grand state has become the laughing stock of not only the nation, but the entire world. To a great extent we can thank Mr. Picklehead in Tallahassee, the prick who bought Florida, for that.
Bloggers around the state have posted these little gems from last night's show:
I laughed, but was saddened nonetheless. Florida used to be a fun place to live - for all the right reasons. Rick Scott and his Republican dominated legislature are doing all in their power to destroy the state, and make life miserable for all (except the monied) who live here.
We can't re-call the bastard, because there are no applicable statutes. Short of enduring this clown until the 2014 elections, the best we could hope for is a misstep on his part that results in a misdemeanor charge followed by impeachment.
The Constitution of Florida provides for impeachment and removal from office for officials, including the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of agriculture, and all justices who have committed misdemeanors or worse crimes. Impeachment must involve a violation of law that is considered a criminal offense and, as such, impeachment results in a criminal record for the removed official.
Though rarely invoked, impeachment can remove those committing illegal acts from office. Issues of bias, or more accurately discrimination and harassment, are provided for in legislation that mirrors federal civil rights laws such as the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
I am hoping for a misstep, especially in light of the voter purge. The goal of the National Voter Registration Act was to enhance voting opportunities for all Americans, not remove them. I don't want to see the Department of Justice giving Scott a slap on the wrist or even a spanking. I want to see the mother of all bitch-slaps laid on Scott.
I want him gone!
